Tucked into the rural woods of Hartland, Vermont, minutes away from downtown Woodstock, is Wise Pines- a holistic & sustainable B&B/hiker hostel. Wise Pines offers a unique farm-stay with goats, chickens and a seasonal organic garden, on sloping land. Owners Chelsey and Jon live with their two kids and dogs on the property.
Available accommodations include two all-season treehouses and a renovated barn. The Barn can be rented out as a whole, with enough space for 12 guests, or as individual bunks and private rooms for a boutique hostel experience. A beautiful and healthful breakfast is available daily or semi-daily, depending on the season, and is sourced as much as possible from our gardens and hens. Yoga is available on site as well.
In the summer, Wise Pines caters to Appalachian Trail thru-hikers, picking them up from the trailhead, shuttling them to the grocery store and back to the hostel where they can shower, do laundry and have a comfortable night off trail, and in the morning enjoy a nutritious and fresh meal.
